  • Integrative wellness represents a comprehensive approach to mental health, embodying a philosophy that addresses not just immediate concerns, but also the broader spectrum of an individual's mental well-being. At the core of our philosophy, we prioritize a focus on both acute needs and the pursuit of short-term and long-term mental health goals. This holistic view treats the individual as a whole, integrating aspects of physical, psychological, relational, purposeful, and spiritual health to achieve optimal mental health functioning and potential.

Our approach to integrative wellness centers on providing essential skills to navigate the complexities of human experiences—be it stress, anxiety, relationship dynamics, or health maintenance. We employ traditional psychotherapy treatments, leveraging evidence-based modalities like Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. These therapies are selected for their proven effectiveness in fostering mental resilience and emotional well-being.

In addition, we offer holistic health coaching, a vital component of our integrative wellness model. This coaching focuses on mind-body integration and fitness, creating specifically tailored programs to meet personal, professional, and relational goals and aspirations. Our coaching is designed not just to address current issues but to equip clients with the tools and strategies to maintain and enhance their wellness in all life domains.

Furthermore, our clinically proven behavioral health programs are a cornerstone of our services. These programs are built on foundational coping skills and holistic health solutions, and are influenced by the latest research and developments in Neuroscience, Integrative Psychology, and Behavioral Health Sciences. They are crafted to encourage proactive lifestyle maintenance, ensuring that each individual we work with is equipped to lead a balanced and fulfilling life.

Our integrative wellness approach is more than just a set of services—it's a commitment to the overall well-being of each individual we serve, helping them realize their fullest potential in every aspect of life.

  • Holistic health is a philosophy that considers the whole person - body, mind, and spirit - as interconnected and strives to treat the person as a whole rather than treating individual symptoms or conditions.

A holistic health coach is a trained professional who helps individuals achieve optimal health and wellness by addressing the whole person, including their physical, emotional, relational, purposeful, and spiritual well-being. Holistic Health Coaches work with their clients to create customized plans that take into account their unique needs, preferences, and lifestyles.

Our coaches use a variety of tools and techniques to help clients achieve their health goals. These may include stress and anxiety management techniques, mindfulness practices, exercise and movement recommendations, communication and conflict management skills, and organizational and developmental skills. We also help our clients identify and address any underlying emotional or psychological issues that may be contributing to their health concerns.

In addition to providing one-on-one coaching, our coaches also offer group coaching, workshops, and educational resources to help clients achieve their health goals.

  • We do not accept insurance for any Coaching service, program, workshop, or retreat.

For Psychotherapy services, we are out-of-network (O-O-N) providers only.

Full payment is due after each appointment. If you have O-O-N behavioral health coverage, we will electronically e-file for you or provide you with monthly superbills to seek O-O-N reimbursement benefits. Only after your O-O-N deductible has been fully satisfied will your insurance reimburse you. Please contact your insurance provider before the time of service and check your O-O-N eligibility, deductible and benefits coverage. Please also be sure that preauthorization is not required for O-O-N Behavioral or Mental Health Therapy services.

Here is the information that you will need to provide to your insurer when discussing your out-of-network mental health / behavioral health benefits:

    • CPT / Procedural code = 90837

    • Place of Service = 2 w/ modifier GT (telehealth) or 11 (in-office)

    • Ask if preauthorization is required for out-of-network services.

    • Ask what is the "allowed coverage amount." This will help you to determine what will actually be reimbursed once your deductible has been met.

    • If your insurer asks for clinician credentials, please provide them with the following information:

    • Billing provider: Ryan Lewis, LMHC

    • Rendering provider NPI# 1649516097

    • For Therapy and Coaching, we meet via Telehealth video or phone sessions.

    • All Telehealth video sessions are HIPAA compliant via SimplePractice or Zoom.

  • Consider coaching if you’re looking to tackle a specific goal, learn a new skill, develop healthy habits, and you’re open to someone affirmingly holding you accountable to accomplish your goals. If you’re a “give me the tools and homework” type of person, coaching is likely the right path for you.

    • Coaches are goal-oriented and solution-focused. They focus on the present and future and typically steer away from the past, unless it is beneficial for your present and future goals. (This is different from psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, as you will often dive deeper into your past and developmental years to heal from trauma or to better understand behavioral patterns and conditioning.)

    • Coaching is more structured with specific agendas and defined goals, progress check-ins, and between-session homework assignments. (Therapy is often less structured, and sessions are influenced by major stressors and/or the need to emotionally process.)

Consider therapy if you need to collaboratively “process” your life, and you need a trained analyst, active-listener, communicator and supporter. If you need a safe space to unburden yourself (intentional venting), and you’re open to objective feedback and evidence-based strategies to cope in healthier ways, therapy is likely the right path for you.

    • Psychotherapists are trained and equipped to diagnose and treat mental health disorders (coaches are not).

    • Psychotherapists are trained to support clients with more complex clinical conditions like acute anxiety, severe depression, PTSD, personality disorders or suicidal ideations. (IWP Mental Health & Integrative Wellness coaches do not specialize in treating complex clinical conditions, but they are trained in suicide prevention and taught to identify and refer clients to therapy when necessary. Additionally, our coaches work closely under the supervision of Ryan Lewis, LMHC, and they have the ability to consult with him as needed. Our top priority is to ensure you receive the most appropriate and effective care.)

    • Psychotherapists can partner with psychiatrists to prescribe medication for mental health, if needed (coaches cannot).

  • A coach teaches insight and self-awareness skills coupled with self-management tools to help clients better manage challenging situations and to sustain optimal wellness results. Coaches offer specific tools like emotional intelligence skills, communication and conflict management skills, and organizational and developmental skills. They help clients better manage emotions, challenge negative thinking patterns, improve relationship skills, and reduce stress and anxiety through relaxation practices.

A coach artfully listens and then asks intentional questions to help clients discover new insights about their physical, behavioral, cognitive, emotional or social patterns. They are equipped with evidence-based resources, and specific tools and practices to help cultivate stated goals, outcomes, and desired experiences.

A coach also creates structure by facilitating the conversation and keeping clients accountable by helping them put new skills and tools into practice.

  • Therapy helps you bring intentional focus to the areas of your life that you want to work on, change, accept or explore more deeply. Your therapist will help to facilitate and direct sessions through nonjudgmental questioning and exploration while encouraging honesty, transparency, self-acceptance, commitment and engagement. There is no right or wrong topic in therapy, and sessions are driven by the topics that you feel are of most importance. You will be responsible for how you utilize the time spent with your therapist, and how you implement any new skills and tools into your life.

First appointments are often dictated by the severity of your concerns and issues. Most often, we will encourage you to jump right in and start discussing what is most challenging in your present life. In addition to addressing your concerns, we will often gather historical and familial information to develop a better understanding of your biological factors and environmental influences. We will also evaluate if you need any additional resources or services.

Therapists typically encourage recurring weekly, biweekly or monthly counseling sessions to ensure that we are meeting your immediate needs and you are progressing toward your desired goals and outcomes. The frequency and duration of your counseling will ultimately be at your complete discretion.

Lastly, if it helps build a stronger rapport or greater trust, or if you are interested in learning more about your therapist and how they manage their own life stressors and complexities, we welcome your interest or questions. In general, however, unlike many other relationships and friendships, time spent with your therapist will be about you and the focus will be kept on you.

  • Personal transformation and change is made possible by the safe and secure connections that we have with our environment and our relationships. Social connections hold great value as they help us to gain insight into how we relate to others and how others relate to us. Healthy relationships assist us in constructing the necessary boundaries to experience love and to feel secure enough to get our needs met and to effectively meet the needs of others; and, positive and affirming relationships help us to feel safely connected to the world around us.

With all that in mind, the fit between a client and therapist or coach is one of the most critical factors to ensuring a successful outcome when beginning your personal transformation. As therapists and coaches, we will work from a genuine, nonjudgmental, respectful, collaborative and curious point of view. Our role is not to judge you, shape your morals or values, assign guilt or shame, or tell you what you should or should not be doing. Our objective is to help you discover patterns in your life that hold you back, and to help you incorporate healthy strategies for living the life you deserve.

We can help facilitate change by exploring the ways in which you think, behave, and feel, but we do not have all the answers for you. Your responsibility is to engage in the therapeutic or coaching process by investing in yourself and committing your time to focusing on you and determining which strategies and tools will work best for you. Creating this type of personal accountability and structure can help you reclaim yourself, move past the areas in your life that are creating stagnation, and help you to thrive in the areas of your life you find most important. Your level of engagement and self-commitment will determine how quickly your desired outcomes are satisfied. Change does not come easily, but it does come and you are worth the effort. We will be side-by-side with you and advocating for you the entire way.

*Please note: everything we discuss is confidential under HIPAA. You will be given the HIPAA rules and notifications upon booking your first appointment.
